This topic is regarding heart failure (mitral regurgitation).
There are numerous kinds of heart disease in dogs but mitral regurgitation is commonly found in small breed dogs.

It is frequently found in older small breed dogs such as Maltese, shih tzu, chihuahua, dachshund, and many in cavaliers.

The valve in between the left atrium and the left ventricle of the heart starts to lose its original movement, thus causing an insufficient supply of blood throughout the body. Furthermore, stagnation of the blood may cause a life threatening condition called pulmonary edema.

Once the valve looses its original movement, the only way to repair the valve is through surgery.

At our hospital we recommend a testing to measure the ANP number for early detection of heart disease.

Since ANP (atrial natriuretic peptides) numbers become higher when mitral regurgitation is present, detection of any possible abnormality is expected, which may not be significant at the time of auscultation.

And since the numbers rise simultaneously with the symptoms, we can check the severity of the disease as well as the reaction to the treatment.

Our normal pricing for an overall screening test (biochemistry 19 categories), ANP testing, along with CRP(inflammation measurement in dogs) is 15,000yen (plus tax); but for our hospital opening campaign, we would like to offer all the above for half price of 7,500yen (plus tax)!

We hope you take this opportunity to care for your fur baby!
