Okinawa Prefecture has a higher concentration of an infectious disease known as Leptospirosis compared to other prefectures in Japan. Therefore, in order to prevent Leptospirosis more effectively, we have decided as a clinic to begin to administer the Canine 10 Combination vaccine instead of the previous Canine 8 Combination vaccine.

Leptospirosis is a zoonotic disease that is able to spread from animal to humans. There are many species and types of Leptospirosis and it is difficult to prevent all types of the disease. However, the Canine 10 Combination vaccine includes the most coverage of strains amongst the existing vaccines and is strongly recommended by veterinarians.
